Delay Selecting Text Box in InDesign

When clicking a text box there is a delay (approximately 10-20 seconds) before the box highlights. This affects InDesign for Mac version 20.3, and possibly other versions.

To fix this, in InDesign...
Go to "InDesign" menu, then "Preferences".
Click "Interface".
Turn "Highlight Object Under Selection Tool" OFF.
