Reset Dock to Default Settings

If the dock gets confused or you need to reset it to the default settings for any other reason, you can do this through Terminal...

Open Terminal (located in the Utilities folder).
Type (or copy and paste) this: defaults delete com.apple.dock; killall Dock
Hit return.
