Maruia Falls are on the road north from Christchurch to Nelson. The falls were formed when a fault shifted in the 1929 Murchison earthquake and are about 10 meters high.
I used a fairly quick shutter speed here to capture the water fairly still and sharp instead of going for the softer blurry effect a slow speed would give. The colours in the water are quite nice too, I think.
