Wanaka Sunrise (6)

Sunrise over Lake Wanaka taken during a recent visit. A lot of the snow appeared over night but the ski season had already finished.

This photo has a lot of contrast between the sparkling white snow that catches the first sun light and the foreground in deep shadow. The sky colors are subtle and interesting.

This photo was taken on my Nikon Coolpix digital camera and processed in Photoshop. The original photo was 2048x1536 pixels with minimum compression which ensures good quality output for web photos even though all the pixels aren't used.
