I tasted the 2002 vintage of this wine on 12 Apr 2005 when it was 3 years old and gave it a rating of ok+.
The colour was a medium brownish ruby red, with moderate legs. The bouquet was quite sharp with spicy cherry fruit. The flavour was smooth with dry smokey wood and spicy cherry fruit. This was a fairly smooth style, quite complex with well balanced flavours.
I tasted the 2001 vintage of this wine on 14 Jun 2003 when it was 2 years old and gave it a rating of ok.
The colour was medium-deep ruby red, with a pinkish edge. The bouquet showed spicy raspberry medium fruit. There was a spicy fruit taste and soft tannins. This was a soft fruity style with some tannin balance, it was a quite pleasant, simple style.
I tasted the 2003 vintage of this wine on 19 Apr 2007 when it was 4 years old and gave it a rating of good-.
The colour was medium ruby red, with a lighter edge. The bouquet had strong spicy cherry fruit, and light tannins. The flavour was very smooth, with strong fruit and light dry savoury flavours, and a light tannic finish. This wine was fruity and soft with good balance.
I tasted the 2013 vintage of this wine on 13 Nov 2015 when it was 2 years old and gave it a rating of ok+.
The colour was quite clear ruby red. The bouquet had spicy sweet cherry fruit. There was full dark cherry fruit, and a soft smooth wood finish. This was a smooth lighter style with full fruit and light tannic balance.
Note 1: I am not really a wine expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these wines. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot of this particular wine, on my recommendation, and then regret it!
Note 2: You may not fully agree with my evaluation of these wines, as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on complexity and intense characteristic and varietal flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities.
