Explosion

This photo is all about timing. When you are trying to photograph fast moving objects (like aircraft zooming past) and things that don't last long (like explosions) its important to prepare the shot before you need to take the photo. I pre-focus (using manual focus) and sometimes set the exposure as well. In this case its turned out quite well - the fireball looks good and the rest of the photo is exposed and focussed correctly, as well.
