(Up to OJB's NZ Joker Photo Page) New Zealand Joker: DiagramThis diagram shows my analysis of the sctructure of this photo. First, it obeys the classic "rule of thirds" which means that pictures usually look more interesting when they can be divided into three parts, either horizontally, vertically or both. Usually I try to keep the main subject away from the actual center of the frame - in this case the subject is in the center horizontally and the bottom two thirds vertically. Moving the subject to the side usually creates the feeling of movement and makes things more "dynamic" - maybe thats why this photo looks more sedate and relaxed!
