Lake from Frankton

This photo is about what you can't see as much as what you can. By using a specific shot angle and doing some careful cropping in Photoshop of the resulting image, I managed to remove most of the signs of buildings in the area. This was taken from the middle of the town but, apart from the buildings on the far left (which are barely visible), it concentrates totally on the natural features.

The cool blues are also very effective, especially in combination with the soft snow and clouds which blend the land and sky nicely. There are nice textures in this, from the foreground trees to patterns of rock and snow on the distant mountains. This is a scan from 160 asa Fuji professional print film.
