(Up to OJB's Styles Page) Wolf Blass Cabernet - Shiraz - Malbec 2016Tasted: | 12 Jun 2023 (age 7 years) | Name: | Wolf Blass Black Label (786) | Variety: | Cabernet - Shiraz - Malbec | Year: | 2016 | Producer: | Wolf Blass | Region: | Barossa Valley | Rating: | good+ | Web Site: | Not available | | The colour was very deep purple-red, with strong legs. There was a strong berry and vanilla bouquet, with some spice. There was currant fruit, chocolate, earthy flavours, and full vanilla wood. This wine had full body, with complex intense flavours. It was quite impressive. |
Note 1 I am not really a wine expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these wines. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it! Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these wines as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on complexity and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities.
