Force iPad to Restart

On your iPad without a Home button:
Press and release the volume up button (closest to the top button).
Press and release the volume down button (farthest from the top button).
Press and hold the top button until the iPad restarts.

On your iPad with a Home button:
Press and hold the Home button and the top button together until you see the Apple logo.
