The clouds near the horizon were particularly dense on this occasion, so it was possible to get the sun, and surrounding hills both exposed correctly. Because it is so bright the Sun can be a difficult object to photograph. So capturing it when its brilliance is diminished at sunset is often a good idea. This reduces the brightness and increases the amount of colour available. |
