Up to OJB's Photos List Return to Previous PageRoad and Sky This is somewhere on the road from Omakau to Ranfurly. The road stretches out across the plain towards the distant snow capped mountains. I quite enjoyed driving along this road in my speedy little Honda VTEC. There wasn't a sign of a cop for 100s of kilometers so a small car with 200 horses, four wheel steer and sports suspension can be fun! I emphasised the "wide open spaces" of Central by getting plenty of sky in this photo. The focal length used compresses the distance to make the road appear to run for longer before it turns (we don't have many straight roads in New Zealand). |
