We talk a short walk into the Olgas area and this is the view back to the flat Australian desert (technically, this isn't real desert like the Simpson, but most of the time its very dry). One of the reasons the features of this area, like Kata Tjuta, look so incredible is the way they just sit by themselves in the middle of this apparently endless flat plain.
