Up to OJB's Photos List Return to Previous PageKiwi and Bird Park We visited the Kiwi and Bird Park at the foot of the gondola. There were many interesting birds there. It was the first time we had seen a real live kiwi - there are three which are kept in darkened rooms so they are active during the day. The highlight, though, was a "psycho" duck that had Nicole really freaked out! This duck was quite ferocious in defending its territory and would run up to visitors and peck them on the feet and legs. It didn't hurt, but Nicole screamed a lot and wouldn't go near it! |
