I tasted the 2001 vintage of this wine on 24 Oct 2003 when it was 2 years old and gave it a rating of ok.
The colour was medium-deep red. This wine had a jammy berry fruit and mint bouquet. The start was soft dry vanilla oak, and there was berry fruit flavours. This was a smooth style with quite good balance.
I tasted the 2001 vintage of this wine on 09 Jan 2005 when it was 4 years old and gave it a rating of ok-.
This wine was medium opaque ruby red in colour, with moderate legs. It had a sharp jammy fruit and eucalyptus bouquet, and a medium-dry vanilla oak start, with jammy berry fruit, soft finish. This was quite a fruity style with some tannin balance but still fairly simple.
I tasted the 2001 vintage of this wine on 22 Oct 2004 when it was 3 years old and gave it a rating of ok+.
Colour was medium-deep ruby red. Bouquest showed earthy tannins and berry fruit. The taste had a smooth medium-dry vanilla wood start, and berry fruit balance. This was a pleasant smooth fruity style, with light tannic balance.
