XWorld 2011, 10

The Opera House was completed in 1973 and is one of the most easily recognised modern buildings in the world. The roof is made from pre-case concrete and the walls are mostly granite. The roof shells are sections of a 75 meter radius sphere, and the building covers 1.8 hectares and is 183 meters long and a maximum of 120 meters wide. The height is 65 meters.
